Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of TempShare. Since the service has no accounts or sign-up, there is no checkbox to tick; using the service at all means accepting what follows. The practical summary: upload lawfully, respect the limits, and expect files to vanish after six hours.
Accepting These Terms
By uploading, downloading, or otherwise using TempShare, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, the remedy is simple: do not use the service.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the service, which is easy to administer because no registration exists to tell one visitor from another. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
What the Service Provides
TempShare provides temporary, anonymous file sharing. You may upload a file of up to 10 MB without creating an account, receive a unique download link, and share that link with whomever you choose.
Each link remains valid for six hours, after which the file is permanently and automatically deleted. One active file is permitted per public IP address at a time; a new upload becomes possible once the current link expires or is deleted. The service is free and funded by display advertising.
Acceptable Use
You may use TempShare only for lawful purposes. You remain solely responsible for the files you upload and for the way you share your links.
The following uses are expressly prohibited. Where the law of your jurisdiction sets a stricter standard than this list, the law prevails:
- Uploading or distributing content that is illegal, including content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Distributing malware, viruses, or any file designed to harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Sharing material in a way that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.
- Using the service to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person.
- Spamming download links or using the service for unsolicited mass distribution.
- Attempting to bypass the service limits, including the file size cap or the one-active-file rule.
- Attacking, probing, or attempting to disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
Availability and Warranty
The service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we do not guarantee that every link will be reachable for its entire lifetime.
A core characteristic of the service is that files exist for six hours and no longer. Upload files you can afford to send again, and treat any transfer that absolutely cannot be repeated as something that deserves a more durable channel.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TempShare and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes loss of data, loss of profits, and business interruption, even where the possibility of such damages has been advised.
Because the service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event does it exceed the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
Advertising on the Service
TempShare displays advertising served by third-party networks. We do not control which advertisements appear, and their presence does not imply our endorsement of anything advertised.
Advertisements are not part of the service itself, and any interaction with them is between you and the advertiser. Treat content inside an advertisement, including buttons that imitate download actions, with the caution you would apply anywhere else online.
Changes to the Service and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, or any part of it, at any time and without notice. Because files are deleted after six hours as a matter of course, discontinuation does not put long-held data at risk; there is none.
We may remove files before their six-hour window closes if we believe they violate these terms, and we may block access from sources that abuse the service. You may stop using TempShare at any moment; since no account exists, there is nothing to cancel.
Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of TempShare is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
This section may be updated with specific jurisdiction details where required by applicable law. Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address published on the TempShare website.
